Do employee happiness important? If yes, then how to measure it?

Hi IHs, I just have an idea about an employee engagement platform. But before start building anything, I want to validate the idea first. So what do you guys think about employee happiness? And for existed platforms on the market, do it really works and solve your problems? Thanks
