Do indie hackers actually blog consistently? (trying to understand my target market)

I built a blogging platform (justblogged.com) because I was frustrated with
options for my own blog.

But now I'm wondering: do indie hackers actually blog consistently, or do we
all just tweet and call it content?

My theory: Most indie hackers want a blog for:

  • SEO/marketing for their product
  • Building in public updates
  • Establishing credibility
  • "I should have a blog" guilt

But reality: Most of us don't actually publish consistently because:

  • WordPress is overkill and breaks randomly
  • Setting it up feels like another project
  • Social media is easier
  • We're too busy building the actual product

My question for this group:

Do you have a blog for your product/personal brand?

  • If yes: How often do you actually post?
  • If no: Is it because of tools, or just time/priority?

Trying to figure out if I built something people actually need or just
something that sounds good in theory.

Honest feedback appreciated. If "simpler blogging" isn't actually solving
a real problem, I'd rather know now.

Personal brand blog. I try to post as frequently as I can. I had researched at minimum for better results to post every week.
