Do SaaS companies have a need for remote UI/UX designers

Hey guys, I am doing a research on something that I might end up working on... So my question here is do SaaS companies have a need for UI/UX designers? And do they also hire full-time UI/UX designers... Reason I am asking is because I am working on a idea that might help connect UI/UX designers in Africa to companies around the world.... Let me know what you think if it's a good idea.
