We help you save on hotel reservations for free. Here's how it works: After you book your hotel, send us ([email protected]) your booking confirmation email. We then keep an eye on the price, and if it drops, we notify you on how to rebook at the lower rate. This way, you get the best deal without any hassle, and our service is completely free. Any advice from the travelers, would you use this? Why yes, or why not?
Thank you!
This is a great idea. Worked in hospitality industry(as an engineer) for 4yrs and I know the booking price would be changing depending on the demand. It follows by refund policy as well. How would rebookify would work? I'm asking because usually the longer in-advance booking would be the cheaper is de facto standard.
Thanks a lot for the comment; yes, we see that as well! At the moment, we are able to find a lower price for roughly half of the people using the service, and it works for people with a free cancellation policy. For those who have booked very long in advance, we try to help with the last-minute price drops that we have noticed
While working as an engineer, did you notice anything else that was interesting regarding price reductions or some niche policy remarks?
Maybe it is useful for monthly travelers.
Yes, it might be! As a founder, I see value for any traveler; most likely, the ideal customers are "frequent travelers."
How much we can usually save by this way? We can have a clear calculate compared to my hourly salary and how much time I need to do this and how much money I can save from this.
Fair point: I have been thinking since the beginning about what amount is "ideal" to send to the customer as a minimum.
It depends on the price, but on average, it's 15% of the total value and the time is roughly 4-6 minutes to re-book a hotel
I'll have privacy concerns to use a service like this. Also, rebooking on my own is a hassle in itself. If you can do the rebooking for me, then maybe it'll be worth using.
Thanks for the comment; it makes sense. That's why, for people who are concerned, they can simply forward only the necessary fields:
Hotel name and location:
Room Type:
A number of adults and kids:
Meal Options:
Check-in and check-out dates:
Cancellation Policy:
Pricing Information: Original price, currency.
Also, I was thinking about integrating an auto-rebooking system once we build trust with users. Thank you!
Looks great 👍
As a user I’d always be wondering how you’re making money on a free service like this, so I appreciate that you call out the affiliate referrals, however I’m still not quite sure what that means practically - would I get suggested cheaper rooms from preferred partners, or email advertisements for other chains? (One small note, there’s an extra period at the end of this section that makes it look like an ellipsis)
Another option for revenue could be a donation system - “consider supporting us with a fraction of your savings through this donation link” etc.
Good luck!
Thank you very much. I haven't thought about the "donation system.". So far, the affiliate links are for popular OTAs like Boking.com, but we still send lower prices for any links that we find. Thank you!
