Do Videos Help with Growth?

Have you had luck with creating explainer videos and have they contributed to your growth? I recently created on for my product (https://www.indiehackers.com/product/qwoka) and I was wondering if you could take a look and provide any feedback https://www.powtoon.com/s/bamZ4nih7PD/1/m

Btw Powtoon is AWESOME

I completely agree but how important do you think it is to have subtitles for the explainer videos?

If that's the case, I invite you to check checksub.com

The video is perfectly clear to me :)

And yes, videos are a part of the marketing stack for us

At least we often get a request like "do you have a video that explains what Dashly does?"

    It definitely does!

We added an explainer video on our pricing page and it nearly doubled our conversion to trial.

I saw your product before and now after seeing this video I know that I only understood it half the previous time. I am not a programmer at work but I am the type of programmer that can hack together an MVP.

I think video's like this work great.

    Tips for your website:

    • Drop the grey on grey color scheme, the readability is bad and it doesn't look professional.
    • Putting // in front of the title gave me the feeling that this text is less relevant because I am used to commenting out code. But this is super personal obviously.

I would try switching to a theme of somekind, I know @BraydenTW has some cool themes at BuildFaster.

Mind giving me some of thought here too? https://www.indiehackers.com/post/help-me-with-ideas-and-ill-owe-you-one-445c28913c 🙏

      Thanks for the shoutout @marijnroukens!

Hey @csthompson, if you need and help, feel free to ask me. I"d be happy to answer your questions. I sell easy-to-setup website themes on my website buildfaster.co.

I suggest the Lightning Blue theme. It's by far my most popular theme and is the best fit for what your site is going for.
