I have seen many posts about "hacking X social media" and actually got curious about Youtube.
Do we have any YouTubers in this community?
Share your channel and give a little description of what type of videos you create.
Or if you don't have a channel of your own, maybe you follow a Youtuber that Indie Hackers would be interested in?
I started a channel called Design Smarts to teach indie hackers and other product makers how to design better products. Things are slow going since this is my first time ever shooting/editing video but I’m slowly getting better and I have a lot more content planned for the future. Let me know what you think!

You aren't ranked on google and Youtube for any keywords. I think you should focus a little bit more on optimizing your videos better.
Thanks for the feedback, Mike! I'll definitely look into optimizing my videos. I honestly know very little about optimizing for YouTube and I haven't spent any time on it besides adding some basic tags.

Need to ponder that. My first reaction is that 'membership' would fit under the Community Building group, maybe?
What do you call people that create 'info products'? (This will help me come up with a name)
I don't think I'm community building, though maybe someday if I build a forum. It's really just people paying a membership fee for access (kind of like a Costco membership, but for programming). A huge example of this kind of site would be Netflix.
Info producteers, maybe?
Would you call people making SaaS businesses SaaSers? My third product is going to be a SaaS and that one would probably sustain a group, too!

I'm "a YouTuber" in that I host all the videos for Alchemist Camp on YT and have about 3k followers. However, it would be more accurate to describe my business as a membership site.
I make lots of free screencast tutorials for Elixir + Phoenix Framework, and some premium videos that I only share with members paying a monthly subscription.

This actually looks interesting - pretty cool that you are documenting that on Youtube, instead of a blog as most people do.

I run a YouTube channel, Program With Erik on software development, focused mostly on the front-end. I've been working on it for 3 years, consistently posting two or three times a week.
It has its ups and downs for sure and it can be a grind.
With all that said, it's been a fun journey. In just this past year I've created dozens of sponsored videos, created and launched my first premium course, and helped thousands of people become better developers.
And maybe it goes without saying, but it's a really great feeling when you know you've really brightened up someones day, or helped them learn a new skill, just by watching your channel.
I started my channel Skillthrive with Photoshop tutorials and evolved to web design / development. It's been doing pretty well lately (nearly 23K subs). I uploaded 60+ videos my first year and barely broke 100 subs. It's a grind, but I do it to learn and share new things. That keeps me going.

We have a, yet very unstructured, channel where we post showreels, marketing videos, vlogs and tutorials. We're not putting a lot of effort in there to be honest but since a big part of our community (film makers, video producers etc) are there we thought that we should at least be present.

I frequent the IH community quite a bit (as a lurker I admit, but created this account to comment on your post). But I find great info on here for growing my brand and just overall interesting stories.
I make music production/songwriting based tutorials on YouTube. Still in the beginning stages as to the direction it's going to go but I find it helps me learn concepts when I have to dive in and teach them. Plus I've met a ton of other music producers from all over the world which is awesome.

I have a couple of Youtube channels set up but haven't been able to decide what videos to make yet. Too embarrassing to post a link yet but if there was a group on here for Youtubers that might be just the kick in the butt I need to start creating.
The one video I did make for my app got 130+ views and I made a sale from there so that was cool. I am also creating a news channel because I have so many interests I figured it would take away any excuse I have to delay since I can make videos on any topic.
My other 1 or 2 channels will be more focused. One for my app and one for me to share my personal journey as a writer and wannabe coder.

Yeah, Notion is good. I used it a lot now. I keep there info about my side projects but it definitely wasn't love at first sight, you need to get used to it.

It's not very good though. I think the key is to provide value. That and having really high audience retention.
