Do you actually need user's mobile number?
Hi all.
I understand that websites collect mobile number during registration is for SMS authentication. I am just wondering would you use another authentication method such as Authicat (https://authicat.com) for this purpose?
Why and why not?
😕 I don't remember the last time I've been asked for a phone number for registration unless it's part of an address for physical delivery or 2fa... (or whatsapp and telegram themselves?)
I don't use telegram.
Probably only useful for site/services that know there is a high telegram user %... Was a discussion here, many don't even want to put the popular ones like g+/fb register/login...
It's not like people can't get disposable phone numbers in many places..
