Do you analyse what your readers liked?

Hey Fellow Bloggers!

I am interested if you do any analysis of what your readers liked.

  • What tool do you use for that?
  • How do you do that?

Any answer would help me a lot
Have a nice day!

I do. But "what readers liked" has many dimensions depending on the site!

For my blog with a newsletter, I look at click-through rate, shares on social media, etc. This goes mostly by gut feel.

For my blog with primarily SEO traffic, I mostly learn this from bounce rate and average time on page. This is tracked via Google Analytics.

Wow that was very insightful. Thank you!
Would you like to have additional features to do your analysis?

To be totally honest I don't feel like I need more data to do my assessment.

That's what I thought. Thank you, you helped me a lot!

Of course! Otherwise, how can you know which way to go?

      I am interested.
What metrics are you looking for?
Do you look only at your visitor statistics?
Or do you also look at something like Visit Duration or how much a reader scrolled down the page (how much he read an article)?

I usually look at most readed articles and most unreaded articles and check where they left from to understand if there is gap on that unsuccessful articles and fix it. You can see this insights on Google Analytics.

I answered no because I'm not sure I understand what you mean by analyzing what readers like.

Oh sorry. I meant: Do you look at Blog Statistics? Google Analytics or something like that?

Got it, thanks. I can't apparently update my vote from no to yes. I check only Blogger's stats, I don't use Google Analytics.

Thanks. So only how much visitors you had? Or also Visitor Duration?

          1. 2

Blogger provides only very basic stats such as pageviews, referrals, browsers, countries the visitors come from, and search keywords.

Thanks! You have helped me a lot.
