Do you cold email or cold call?

It really depends on the market you'll be targeting, I think. Some markets are pretty adamant to cold emails/calls but there are some in which it really works.

Back in January this year, I tried to cold email and cold call businesses for my brand/digital agency and it's something I will never do again.

People were actually pretty rude. For an estimated 100 calls, I got maybe 2 potential leads which eventually went nowhere. Got 2 answers via email despite having spent a huge amount of time looking at the businesses I emailed and being personal in each and every one of the emails I sent.

So yeah, really depends of your target audience I think.

Also really depends on your LTV / Deal Size. Cold Calling is labour intensive, but at high ticket value there is nothing better. Ideally you would have a system that starts by doing outreach via email/LI and then calling those leads who are engaging with your content. In my company we do outbound and it works very well, actually lower CAC than paid marketing
