Do you die a little on the inside every time you install Google Analytics?

All I want to do is learn how people are using my site / product without sending their data through ad-tech and getting blocked by ad-blockers.

I couldn't bear it anymore, so I built my own analytics. It took me 2 days, and now I can easily add it to any new site or project. I

    Why would you store data in Google Sheets if you want to avoid Google altogether?

      It's not about avoiding Google altogether. It's about avoiding using their ad-tech. Using Google Sheets is not so different from using MySql on Google Cloud, etc. But there are lots of free tier hosted storage solutions you could setup an endpoint for! I'd recommend using what's comfortable and easy. For me personally, I'm just using Google Sheets to start so that I don't have to setup a server / host.
