Nurtch: Simplify DevOps with executable Notebooks
I would love to get feedback on my landing page from the IH community.
This is a lovely idea! 11/10 on the "Wish I'd thought of that" scale.
I know what jupyter is and have been involved in writing runbooks recently so I was motivated to watch the video even though I normally look for text first. The video is a great overview of what the product does. It's certainly something I'd show to consulting customers of mine who have runbooks.
The first question I had was about security and it took me a little while to understand that's what the self hosting option was about even though it's obvious in hindsight. I'd still like to know more about how that works. I checked the docs but there were no details there.
The other thing that came to mind was trying to figure out what to do if something I wanted wasn't supported by rubix. Would I just have to wait till you implemented it?
Thanks Chris :)
You receive the trial key and link to installation instructions in email right after signup. There are 2 basic options:
I'm more than happy to take requests for Rubix and get them in as soon as possible. Users can also write their own functions and even package it for others to use (separate package than Rubix). You can basically install any python package inside Jupyter. It's a powerful platform for literate DevOps.
I'm available here on IH and reachable at amit@nurtch.com
Look forward to talk to you :)
I'm not familiar with Jupyter or any of the technical features, but the black text on dark grey is very difficult to read.
Hey Jess,
It got changed by mistake while I was editing something else last night. Fixed now.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment about it.
