Do you have a full-time or part-time job while working on your project? How do you manage time?
Curious to hear how many people have a full-time vs part-time job while working on their project. For those with a full-time job, do you find you're able to make significant progress on your project with limited time every day? If so, what are your magic tricks :)
(Reason for asking - I started working on my project while having a full-time gig, and found I wasn't able to make progress, so switched to part-time for the last 8 months. As of now, I don't see any reasonable possibility of making my project profitable in the near term, and so am now considering back to full-time to have a longer runway to find an idea with product-market fit. But am concerned about my velocity and looking to learn on ways to improve it)
Finding time is super tough. I’ve got a full time job and a new family. Given I don’t have a super active project in the works but am just staying active and growing an IRL community... so it might be a bit easier for me at the moment.
I wake up at 5am (almost) every day and work on my own stuff through 9am. Then little bits throughout the day as I can fit in. Then family time after 5.
Sometimes the wife will be busy at nights and the little guy goes to bed around 6-7 so I’ll throw in an extra hour at night.
Patience is critical.

I work Full-Time Active Duty in an unrelated field.
I don't code at work, but I keep a note book at all times to jot down ideas.
By the end of my shift rush home and code until my "chillout" alarm goes off.
10 months straight without burnout.
I've recently noticed that I need to go to work and deal with the non-sense it entails to fuel my passion to continue to work when I get home.
