After a few successful launches and a few flops on Product Hunt it seems like you have a better chance of getting featured if you get a handful of upvotes quickly to help stand out from the noise of low quality posts.
I've mainly reached out to friends and family or my connections on LinkedIn about my product launches but not too many people in my network actually use Product Hunt.
I have a product launch coming up next week and I'm wondering what you all indie devs do to kickstart your PH launches or how you organize your "launch team"?
PH has been on my mind ever I started working on makesales.io
I've read a lot of mixed reviews of folks who had spent a lot of time preparing for the "big launch" only to see the traction dry off pretty fast. This is not even mentioning those who didn't get traction at all.
I can't answer your specific question but interested in seeing what others have to say, I think to me it all goes down to the ratio effort/gain that PH offers.
