Do you have a no-code project or product?
Hey IHers,
I'm looking for people who have a real-world project or product that's built on a no-code stack.
I have a user-submitted section on the No Code List that lists projects and their no-code stacks, and I'm looking to increase the amount of projects in the list.
The benefit to me and my viewers is they can see real-world projects built with the software they're considering using (which is huge!). The benefit to you would be a link to your site that will be seen disproportionately more in the early days of this section... plus the good feeling of contributing back to the no-code community and helping future no-coders understand what's possible! (I'd love to offer more if anyone has suggestions...)

In addition, if anyone feels strongly about a no-code tool, it would be amazing to get an endorsement (another section I'm building out) on the product. There's no public submission for endorsements, but I can send a 3 question form. Just comment here or email/tweet me (links in profile).

Hey Drew! While I don't have many projects myself that are worth submitting, I certainly help a ton of people build out projects (mainly using Zapier). I'll point them your way when I can👍🏻
I can't help but think about Makerpad as I see NoCodeList being built. Pondering on how NoCodeList could differentiate to provide a complimentary value. I think there's plenty of room in the space but just giving this a thought and wanted to share (I'm an external processor).
My two cents: I'd love to see the list include a cost element. Listing out which tools have a free option and then sussing out potential projects and associated costs would be very helpful.

I think about differentiating from Makerpad all the time, haha! I'm very consciously staying out of @bentossell's way and trying to figure out ways to compliment what he's doing.
I definitely want to stay away from the tutorial/demo stuff (and will link to Makerpad demos if I do put that stuff up), but I think more importantly, I'd like to focus a little more on the business/real-world use case side (rather than the maker/tinker/learning side). I think there's opportunity and a need there. A lot of people and businesses could benefit greatly from no-code tools but may not spend their free time hacking and making for fun. They just have a job to be done.
That's a market that compliments and overlaps a bit, without stepping on anyone's toes, but I'm still open and seeing where things go.
And for pricing, that is excellent feedback! Thank you. I've been considering doing something to quickly signal price, but I'm not sure what the best thing to do is. The classic $, $$, or $$$ could work, but I'd love to make something more informative. I agree that it'd be very helpful to people vetting no-code software, though, and I'll be making it a high priority.

Also, I'd love to get Zapier more involved if there's anything synergetic we can do. I think almost every no-code project that was submitted to the Stacks section uses Zapier! Definitely the most popular!
We need more of that business/real-world use case angle - I think that's great! Was just talking to a colleague about this. It's cool that we can make an airbnb clone... but do we need another airbnb clone? Maybe if you are starting a business from scratch. Either way, I think this wave is showcasing what's possible with no-code but the next step is answering where the real value is with no-code. Keep it up! I'll be following along.

Hi Drew! I really like what you are doing over at No Code List. This is the key to enable people in making - and at first, it starts with discovering the tools.

We provide a personalized app for the Airbnb/VRBO vacation rental property owner where they can make commissions on the tours and activities that are sold through the app.
The app not only centralizes all the information about the property, but also provides personalized recommendations of what to do, where to go and where to eat. Something like a concierge-like app.

Hey @truedrew. Awesome project! I built www.festivilia.com with no code. Built using Mobirise. With a combination of airtable forms, Paystack and excel sheet, along with some amazing tools like notifications.bar and Pushfy.me Festivilia is running just fine.

Hi Drew, I'm currently building motimate.org using Bubble.io and will be sure to list it when it launches. I've set myself a personal goal of launching ten no code products over the next year as a learning exercise so I hope to have more to share in future. Caveat - I haven't even launched one yet, but I'm only three weeks in.

Awesome! Is your goal to actively drive traffic or make revenue from these?
For 1 and 3 is to make revenue. My plan for 1 is to have the service providers sign up for a yearly membership so its like a listing. For 3 is to make affiliate sales through links on the app.
How can I grow this sort of apps in your opinion and what best practices could I implement after building this apps.
Awesome! One of the best ways to grow anything is to post about it on here!
I think in your case, one good tactic would be writing content. That will drive search traffic, like when someone is looking for insurance/dealers/lawyers, you want to come up as a resource. With just the list, it will be harder to rank than if you have related content in articles. I recommend upgrading your glide apps to a custom domain, and then use blog.customdomain.com for your blogs/articles. That way, you'll get the search juice, but you can keep the apps in Glide!
