I never payed too much attention to YouTube, but found some interesting potential as a complement to written content. However, I struggle to find interesting people to follow. So, do you have a channel?

May I ask you what decanted you for a video instead of a podcast?

Video instead of audio only is there for multiple reasons. First one I want to bring the faces of makers closer to my audience, not just twitter handles, profile pictures or even voice only. So you can get to know theme better. Second reason is that this is completely new for me and I wasn't sure if my voice only could carry the burden of all the episode, so I put a video and you can be "distracted" with other things

It makes sense! Also, YouTube is good for content discovery, I find it more universal than Spotify for instance, and light years better than things like Stitcher.
I do have a YouTube channel, but so far I used it only as an incidental archive of videos I shot or created occasionally over a long time. Although I plan to publish content at some point, the channel isn't ready yet and won't be in the short to medium term.
When you say interesting people to follow, do you mean on YouTube specifically? If you're thinking of starting out my biggest advice is just to go for it! Try to get a first video out in the next week. It can take a long time to see some progress. So just like with building products getting started and putting in consistent effort is critical to see if it will be a good fit.
I do believe in learning from others and building synergies, that's why I'm intrigued by the use of YouTube. If I'm not interested in the platform, why would I care creating content for it?
Makes sense. I find that it takes some work to find other small YouTube channels in the same space sometimes. Their (also my) videos aren't as polished or engaging and thus don't get surfaced as much. I've found that the Discords of other larger YouTubers is a great place for this though.
