Do you have any idea of how this was built?
in After Effects there is this extension, that is basically a panel where people can access templates,etc. and I think to an extent allows people that make themplates to sell directly from it.
I've been trying to understand how something like this was built to see if it is possible to create something similar for a different software. DaVinci Resolve.

I recommend make a chrome extension and work with some google API you will get familiar with how API works. From there it depends on what power the web app or mobile app gave developer to build in their platform. If you need a source to practice working API there is a udemy course you can find.
I'll have to look into it, although I'm not completely sure it'll be the right investment timewise. If I can understand it better then I can have a better understanding of how much it can cost to have someone develop it.

You did not ask it is good idea to learn to build it yourself or pay someone to build it for you?
If you are builder it is good idea to be comfortable with APIs. IF not , So no.

oh interesting, I wasn't aware that theses softwares had api, I only knew that in the context of webapps, but it makes sense! Thanks a lot :D
