Do You Have The Best Elevator Pitch?

Hi Indie Hackers,

PS: If you're among the 38% of all web traffic who don't read beyond first paragraph after landing on a page, there's an offer in the end 👇

Now that I have your attention, I believe we all agree- when content is the king, headline is the queen.

If you don't believe this, here are some numbers for you:

  • A joint study between Columbia University and Microsoft in 2016 found that 59% of links shared on Twitter are never clicked

  • An experiment was conducted by a fake news website 'The Science Post' which collected 127,000 shares for an article that consisted of a fabricated headline and gibberish filler text!

What does this mean for you?

Even if you have the best product but an uninspiring pitch, you'll possibly never get noticed and will be buried among the millions of failed projects before you even realize it.

But here's the upside

If you start working on your pitch and come up with a solid one, you'll be disproportionately rewarded with feedbacks, traffic, purchases and testimonials.

You'll even beat competitors who have a better product but dull pitch.

So if you're convinced that a solid pitch can help your business, just post your one liner pitch in the comments below and I'll write a 1200 words SEO post with an optimized headline for you and also promote it.

Why am I offering this to just 2 best pitches?

Writing the post will take considerable time and time is a limited resource. A good pitch is to convince me that you take your hustle seriously.

Thanks for sharing your pitch. With an elevator pitch I'd expect more of a story. A simple format like this can make it more powerful:

Problem: “[Customer Type] are often frustrated by the effort it takes to [Action].”
Solution: “[Your New Solution] eliminates the need to [Customer’s Old Solution].”
Why You: “For [Duration], [Customer Type] have trusted [Your Company] to provide the best solutions in [Customer’s Industry].”
Value: “With [Your New Solution], you can [spend less/make more] [time/money] [Action].”
CTA: “I’ll give you a call to learn more about your situation (Get Contact Info). Thanks for your time.”
