After doing a whole years worth of content marketing and growing my affiliate website (tradingcompared.co.uk) I realised that content isn't 'just' about creating value.
As Gary Vee puts it - it's about quantity with value at heart.
How many of you are finding it hard to create valuable contenting marketing pieces to grow your product/service, across a range of platforms at scale?
With a content including (but not limited to); Youtube videos, podcasts, blogs, IG (Story, feed and IGTV), FB page/groups, Twitter threads, Linkedin posts, Medium articles etc etc etc....
I was thinking of an idea to help you guys repurpose and repackage long form content such as YouTube videos into micro content or other long form pieces of content, that could be natively posted to other platforms - enabling you to grow your brand in every direction.
Two questions for you if any of this has sparked your interest:
Please let me know anything else that you think regarding this?
Thank you! :D
Hey Louis,
This is an interesting concept! As a boostrapped founder I find myself tending to focus primarily on one channel for growth (SEO) instead of trying to create and disseminate different forms of content across different channels.
When we first started out I tried to do all things for all growth channels but I found I was spreading myself too think and wasn't any able to get traction with any one channel.
So for me I might find value in something like this not only if you can automatically create content for a different channel but also help implement a comprehensive strategy for that channel. The big cost for me is learning the ins and outs of how to effectively grow a new channel as opposed to necessarily creating content for that channel.
Hope that's helpful!
Thank you so much, yes this comment is MORE than helpful!!
Did you write blog articles/content to improve your SEO?
I completely get where you're coming from, normally it's better to go depth instead of breath - like you said spreading yourself too thin gets you no where...
However I think it's great to experiment with loads of different channels and double down when an unexpectedly high ROI is found
Your last comment about learning strategy for certain channels is a big one, thank you very much for that, will come in handy when the SAAS product comes together and I can implement pointers to users within the interface!
