Do you hesitate to talk about your work?

I have struggled with this a lot in the past. But I used to think: Do exceptional work and people will find you. Now I think this is not the right way to think about it. Yes people may come across you by sheer luck but you will most likely miss a lot of opportunities along the way.

I've come to realize that you have to be more comfortable with talking about your work, your vision etc. The way I do that now is by knowing what I do is helping people and that makes it easier.

Also in particular I see women talk way less about their work compared to men. Do any of you struggle with this? Would love to hear your thoughts and please share your current work in the comments!

This is so relatable to me, haha ^^'

I'm always so uncomfortable when I have to talk about my work or when I have to self-promote etc.
I think it's called the impostor syndrom or something like that. It always feels like I'm going to be annoying and bother people so I just don't do anything. And then miss a lot of opportunities, like you said.
This is a real problem when you try to run a business, especially when you do it on your own...
