If you're regularly publishing content anyway, the benefit of re-submitting to GSC is going to be very minimal.

You can do it using the Search Console to speed things up but keep in mind that indexing has nothing to do with ranking 😉

That’s probably a sound practice. That said, I have to admit in the past I’ve mostly relied on Google discovering this without any extra help from me. Depends on how frequently they crawl your site.
