Do you immediately understand what my apps do? Any SEO/design feedback?

Hi IH!

My main income today comes from selling Mac apps via Paddle, on https://fadel.io/.

It has been pretty successful so far, but I’m wondering if there’s anything I’m missing (a blog and a mailing list would be at the top of my list).

My biggest sellers are Batteries for Mac (https://fadel.io/batteries) and Mission Control Plus (https://fadel.io/missioncontrolplus).

Any SEO/design feedback is appreciated!

Hey Rony! I'm happy your apps are doing well:) Both of them look neat!

I imagine you're asking about how to grow? By far, I'm not expertise on this subject, so please take it with a grain of salt. Writing a blog or building a mailing list seems completely up to the contents available to you. If you have stuff to write about or confidence in your writing skills, that certainly works given 2-3 month periods.

My hunch is it's hard to write around productivity topics. Instead, there are many tech bloggers that are happy to share about productivity tools. I see and am glad guys like Maclife have already talked about you. Do you think you've exhausted the places to pitch? Another thing I thought was to maybe offer the product free (with some codes?) to people with large followers with the hope for them mentioning you?

About the landing page, I imagine people would rarely jump onto the main page (https://www.fadel.io), as each app is very distinct and strong. I like that Q&A is built right into that one page. Each product's logo is nice too.

PS: I'd love it if you can fill out my product's survey:) Your input will mean a lot to me:)) https://forms.gle/hqUtxgjyfMyNzbqb6

Thank you for the feedback. I think I can always pitch more, but so far ProductHunt gave me a big push to get to some blogs at launch time, but now my pitches are falling on deaf ears.

I'm not sure where I can find these people with a large following. I'd be happy to give out codes for that purpose.

I'm considering writing a blog, it will happen in the coming months for sure.

I'll fill your form for sure.

That's good! Successful PH launch. That means your products are working.

For large followers, we can go to tech publishers' following/followers. They can be TechCrunch, Gizmodo, Wired, etc. Some of them have editors in bio. In case of Twitter, a few even say "message inbox opens". That means they are welcoming for a pitch. The ones with blue checkmarks are popular ones. But I think even with 10,000 followers, it can boost your sales.

Blogging can be sustainable in a long run. Good luck:)

        Thanks, I appreciate it:)

In terms of SEO, you'll want to find long tail keywords for each of your big seller pages (batteries and missioncontrolplus) and your home page.

Then move on to onpage seo

    • Your pages are missing text content. Google values text over images, so you'll want each page to have 400-1000 word descriptions of what your offering.
    • Add title tag with your most important keywords
    • Description meta tag (this is what shows up in the google search description)
    • Set <h1>, <h2>, etc. tags within the <body>
    • Test your site's page speed with Google Page Speed tool
    • Add rich snippets to help get your site featured in search
    • Keep researching new keywords and keep track of their rank positions

This is now my SEO to-do list 😬. Thank you!!

What do you mean by "rich snippets"?

I think the design could be improved. Have you tried alternating left align, right align, for each product? There's a lot of space in between the icon and the words, which leaves an odd gap, but I see why you did it since closing the gap would make for a very narrow column

Yeah, I think it can be done and keep the column consistent.

I think playing around with backgrounds could do you some good too. Your off-gray is so close to the white that it doesn't look like it's alternating at all. I also feel like this page would be a good candidate for svg tricks: https://css-tricks.com/creating-non-rectangular-headers/

I'll check this out. I agree that it can be made more beautiful with more colors and contrast. Thanks!

The answer to first question in the title is yes. Design is neat, I don't think it needs any major changes really love the sun (gives a happy feeling). For SEO I feel you should add more text and use keywords related to your apps.

Thank you for the resources, I'll check them out. I'm sure they'll help me up my copywriting game :)

Thanks for the tip, I agree that twisting the message to focus on the customer is more effective (I'll see if I can also do that for the slogans of the individual apps).
