Do you like saving quotes?

Reading books, I encounter many interesting quotes I want to keep.

So far, I've been writing those quotes in a notes app on my phone. However, I often write the quote and soon forget about it.

Therefore, I started developing an app that stores all my quotes in a nice format and shows them randomly via daily reminders.

What do you think about this idea? I would really love to hear your suggestions, thanks!

My screensaver has 100's of handpicked quotes organized in categories and allows the user to add his/her quotes. The screensaver writes the quotes randomly in the night sky.
Some users emailed me to say they like the fact that they can add their own quotes, but I cannot say how much this is reflected to sales.

Since you like quotes a lot, then you would be able to make a successful product as you understand better the people who like quotes. But I am not sure how big this audience is and what they are willing to pay to have their quotes organized.

I guess I have to test my idea more.

It seems a nice idea to me, I also save many several qoutes in a google drive docx, however it's a bit boring to extract them.

Would the app save qoutes from other Apps as well? e.g when i'm reading on a website? I'd just save the qoute through highlight and copy? Then paste into the App?
It seems a nice idea, how about monetisation? How do you intend on going around that?

I've implemented OCR so you can easily take a photo.

Highlighting directly from a source and adding to my app is a very nice feature and worth considering.

I haven't yet thought much about monetisation, i would most likely use ads.

I also have to validate this idea to find out if there is someone who would actually use this. Thanks for feedback!

I use readwise.io for this purpose. And I am very happy with their product. Maybe you would like to check them out.
