Do you need cookie consent for Google Analytics?
If yes, how you make sure google analytics will not store data if end user asked not to track cookies?
Do you have any free tools to do this?
Thanks
Yes you do. Google analytics most certainly does cookie tracking.
If you aren't into cookie banners then there is https://plausible.io and cookie free alternative in which you don't need to have a consent banner.
Cheers,
Ben
Hi! I was also very interested in this topic forquite some time.
Is it true that you can turn on some "anonymous" mode in GA? I heard something about "hidden" option to disable collecting data from users in exchange for less information in charts. Is it true?
Yes.
Under GDPR in the European Union, companies must obtain explicit consent from users before collecting and processing their personal data. Using Google Analytics "as is" would likely not be compliant with GDPR, as it collects a significant amount of personal data by default.

Thanks! this is very useful!
