When elon took over twitter, and basically started charging for sending DMs to people, many were outraged. Especially on reddit, the hate was/is insane, and many expected twitter to die out.

Well, twitter didn't die, and it seems that people are actually paying for twitter blue to DM strangers, a previously free feature.
