For my Indie Hackers friends out there who are, or used to be, in a corporate or startup job, do you feel like it is important for you to be associated with a particular organisation and have a second life at office ?
Or is it just about working towards contributing to something important and fun, salary and benefits ?
Also to my friends out there working towards building companies, wouldn't it be better to just get the work done sometimes ? Without worrying much about hiring etc.
After observing how easy it has been to hire and fire in mass for the startups that benefit from the tech bubble funding period, I am really frustrated and worried.
So, currently I am working on a "remote only" work match platform that combines the code repository platform, such as GitHub, work match platform, such as Fiverr, and runs on a workflow mechanism inspired by the way DAOs work i.e. to "get paid per task".
Any recommendations and advice is most welcome.
I give absolutely zero f****s about 'fun' company culture as long as the people I work with on a daily basis are cool and I get to work on interesting things. What I hear when a company advertises a good culture with fun company activities is 'we spend a lot of money on dumb shit and therefore will be paying you less'.
For me, it's more about money and working on cool shit.
One of my favorite companies I've worked for was a government contractor who was no bullshit when it came to money. They told me the rate they make on a contract, what they take for profit, and what I get as my hourly rate. Move to a better paying contract, you make more money, and vice versa.
Love the honesty.
Also being an Indie Hacker, does a platform where you do what you like and are skilled in, for a portion of the day, make money and then continue with your startup/project and family time the rest of the day sounds like something you'd wanna do ?
To add a few points here, the platform isn't the "worker first" like freelancing platforms, its a company first platform, hence the work and tasks are always there to be done and get paid for.
I recently noticed how easily these "big" startups just hire when they raise a shit load of money during the bubble, and mass fire people out of nowhere when the market is not right for them.
So frustrating, there has to be a solution, a middle ground where startups skip the lengthy and costly hiring process and just get the work done, and fellow developers out there do not have to worry about job security and time management to do their own shit, like y'all Indie Hackers here.
Honestly speaking, I does. The world is divided on the basis of religion and mostly didn't like to know about other religions. On the contrary culture is the one which is respected by almost every person of the world. People love to know about new culture, want to do the same, and love to share with other friends. That is why I prefer culture is a must. https://basketballscan.com/best-basketball-shoes-for-guards/
