I'm trying to understand what are commodity features vs good premium features with respect to API gateway solutions.
Why do you like it? What are the features you value the most? What do you think of: https://getenroute.io/?
Many Thanks!
This looks really interesting! I currently use AWS API Gateway primarily because my backend is completely serverless and dependent on many other AWS features.
Thanks for your reply Samir, it's really appreciated.
What do you see interesting? What are you valuing the most when picking the API gateway... ? i.e: Price, compliance, authentification, authorization? Thanks!
I found it interesting because it's a fairly complex problem and it will be interesting to see the implementation.
I use AWS API Gateway for pretty much all the reasons you listed.
Uclusion is using AWS API Gateway and for that matter the whole AWS stack. They have a generous free tier so no real reason to put together your own infrastructure.
Hey Fredi, nowadays, companies that provide services through APIs must choose a reliable API gateway to ensure their services’ speed, stability, and security.
However, coming to a decision on which to choose depends on multiple dimensions like the popularity among developers, their open source licenses, their performances, and the ecosystem as a whole. https://api7.ai/blog/why-is-apache-apisix-the-best-api-gateway/
I would recommend using Apache APISIX, an open source, dynamic, scalable, and high-performance cloud native API gateway for all your APIs and microservices.
