Do you sometimes feel like you haven’t been doing enough?

I’m not talking about getting the results you want, or getting to the end of that ever growing todo list. I’m talking about when you reflect on your progress and you realize that if you are honest with yourself. there are important things that you have been procrastinating on. that you been getting comfort table in your excuses, that you having been showing up with your full force to tackle the challenge ahead. or even worst, that you have been distracting yourself from the pain of feeling like you are not cut out for this for so long that you don’t remember the last time you had your eyes on the target.

I know I have. 🙋‍♂️

Ever since we launch the MVP of our product about 6 months ago I feel like I have been afraid of fully engaging with the next step. Marketing and putting our work out there that is. I know that what the vision for this company needs from me right now it to be it’s greatest evangelist and make the world fall in love with it as much as I did with this vision. But when I look back and I can tell that I been selective in my procrastination I know that I been letting fear getting the best of me.

Have you felt that way at some stage of your journey? are you feeling that way right now?

how do you deal with that?

  1. 1

I feel like I never get enough done, all the time.

But overall, I do make stuff happen. Mostly I try to accept who I am and focus on the things that I enjoy. I either delegate or say no to things that I don't enjoy doing. I'm not the most organised, but I'm focused and when I say I'll do something, I do my best to do it!

I don't think I'm the best model of this, I wish I tracked my time better and made better decisions on when to shut down my computer. There's always room for improvement!

    This is natural, I think.

There are all sorts of reasons not to do a thing, and they add up. And we lose momentum. The key is to separate yourself from momentum. You need that momentum to become intrinsic. Part of you.

You have to be able to "start again". Don't be worried that you didn't do what you were supposed to before. Start now, and do what you can.

You've learned how it feels when you didn't take action, so use that to your advantage now. Take the action you know you need to take.
