Do you start with mobile design?

Even though the idea of designing websites for mobile devices first has been around for a while, I still come across many websites that were originally designed for desktop computers.

This is surprising, considering that mobile devices account for about half of all web traffic.

I can understand why this happens, since designers typically use computers as their primary work tool.

However, it's important to make sure that the website design is truly responsive and works well on all types of devices, not just desktop computers.
