Hey everyone, I'm looking for people who suck at graphic design 🤔
I'd like to know:
I'm in the middle of pivoting my design startup and would love to understand people's problems better.
Cheers 🙏
My Main struggle is to be confident on one single design. Currently I just ask my peers to review and bring it all down to a vote for all the stakeholders.
Very helpful, thank you 🙏
I suck at making a beautiful design, I know I should
Probably study the basics of making a design but on my full time job I am a back-end/SRE engineer… so the last thing I want to study is design….
Currently I just get free designs ready to use on internet.
Thank Mateus. Yeah I feel learning is too much to ask, would be easier if it was "done for you" in a simple way.
Creating social media and website collateral that matches the brand and stands out – screenshot backgrounds, blog post headers, email templates.
Thanks filip!
I suck at life, and design is part of it. I can confidently say that I also suck at design then.
Visuals; No visuals. I can't find anything related to my projects.
Logo; if I try to design it, ends up being too generic. So I go with a wordmark (simply a fancy font)
Colors; I find an accent color and apply it to a grayscale scheme.
Curious about what you are up to.
Thanks mate. I don't know what i'm up to yet, will depend on the answers i get :p
Hi indie hackers!
I'm Dagobert co-founder, I'd love to know what your struggles with design too. 😊
The main issue is the continuous feeling to improve or make changes to designs - which can cause a never ending cycle. To tackle the problem, I tend to stop myself from looking too much at inspiration.
thanks, that's very helpful
I really want 1:1 tutoring from a great designer in how to think about the design/UX/UI from the start, and I want to go back and forth and learn the process.
Hi, UX/UI designer here. If you need help with visual design decisions then I can be of help. I'd be happy to take a look at the current designs or even just give some advice.
