Hey everyone! Long time listener, first time contributor here. A couple of months ago I launched Collective.Energy - a community to discuss, grow, and refine on climate change initiatives.
Launching it on a few platforms yielded some results, it hit the front page of Hacker News which was nice for traffic and got me excited. Unfortunately, after a brief flurry of activity things went somewhat stagnant. I created the site to solve my own problem of not knowing what I could do as an individual to address climate change. My hope was that it would provide a place for others to catalyze their ideas into action and have a positive effect on the planet.
The site is https://collective.energy
My questions for you are:
Hi Eric,
I really like that you turned your need into a website for all to use!
Before I give you my idea on the matter of your website. I am what you call a bit of a sceptic on the matter of climate change for both side of the spectrum for a ton of reasons (impact, greenwashing, simply me not having a clue who to trust, etc.), while I model for a lot of large offshore wind farms, Large Scale Solar farms etc. So I have a tiny bit of understanding. Which is why I most probably be only visiting your website occasionally. What would I make come back to your website and the actions you want to deploy to promote it, both heavily depends on your goal (more traffic, better ideas, more collaborations etc.)
Again, I am not your average user, but I love the concept that you went from your personal need to such a great looking website.
