I think Google will still be the king. The simplicity of the design as you said coupled with a strong algo will Google in the game long enough to develop another Ai-based search engine that is way powerful. I don't know why they were reluctant to build something like ChatGPT. But, they will definitely do it in the future.
Yeah! It will be interesting to see how the search engine industry evolves in the future.
