Do you think there should be a private messaging system here at IndieHackers?
I was thinking it would be great if there was a private DM service at the IH platform so that we can contact a person for a more personal discussion. What do you think?

It is on our radar, it has been for a while, but we can't give you any indication of if/when atm.

For me it feels quite convenient to get contact of a person I want to collaborate with through the comments section and then continue our discussion through LinkedIn or email. It would require a lot of work to create a chat system for Indie Hackers and I don't like to use many different messaging systems for chatting, so I would prefer leaving Indie Hackers as it is. Indie Hackers is already a great platform without a chat system))
Emails and twitter have worked fine for me so far.
