Do you track your do's?

There's a lot of advice on making to-do lists. I've tried it many times and it's really a great way to focus and get things done. However, after following what I've done for a few days, I get bored of doing it and it's turning into a grind for me.

Are there any people who making to-do lists and tracks them consistently? How do you do that?

Lots of people track their todos (and lots of other things).

The secret is establishing a peridic review process for your todos (and wishes, dreams, plans, deadlines, must-do's etc.). I do my my weekly review usually on Sunday afternoons, with smaller reviews done daily. For more big picture topics I also do quick monthly, longer quarterly and pretty long annual reviews of ...well basically anything in my task management system.

If you struggle with establishing or maintaining a system for you, go checkout "Getting Things Done". The original book is dated, but there are lots of guides out there that explain how it works.

To-do tracker here! I would say it's about defining a simple routine. For me, it's 4 steps.

    1. identify a weekly goal.
    2. identify what you need to do to do that goal.
    3. identify out of those in step #2, what you're going to do today.
    4. review at the end of the week. Most important - you don't want a giant pile of outdated to-dos.

It makes my week/day really focused and ready for consistent progress. Plus, it takes the guess work and time wasted out of figuring out what to do. Shameless plug - I use my app Sidekick to track my to-do's. But you could easily do this on pen & paper.

Great routine! But, actually I am struggling with set weekly goals. Because there are too many parameters that effect my week. That's why I can't set my weekly to-do's from the first day of the week. So, I need to set daily to do list but it's a bit boring doing it everyday for me.

      Thanks for your advices 🙏

I use an outliner app (currently https://legendapp.com). I put all my tasks in there, underneath my goals/projects. After I complete a task, it's saved for forever but hidden by default.
