Nope, we don't use cookies on https://www.updog.marketing but even if we did I wouldn't put a notice because they're so damn annoying. Let the EU take me.
I don't, and I'll just add one when/if it becomes a problem
I don't use cookie notice on my https://imakewebsites.work and most other sites. Cookie notice is not required if your site only stores cookies until visitor leaves your website.
For example cookie notice would be required if you use Google Analytics (I use privacy focused Fathom analytics instead), have Facebook like/share buttons, Facebook pixel tracking, have other analytics or tracking scripts. Or you have some kind of membership/login areas in your site.
If you have a basic website / landing page and use clever analytics there is no need for long term cookies, and for cookie notices as well.
It is well worthwhile to look into the specifics of the law and why/when you actually need a cookie popup. Just because many websites have cookie popups doesn't mean yours needs one. If you're willing to stick to only using specific kinds of first-party cookies exclusively, you can avoid needing a cookie popup at all.
I don't think you should think about this when you are starting your website. I know it is important but when you have little visitors it's not that important for me. But when you have time you must have one on your website!! Also, it would be great to write a privacy page.
If it's a small site that I'm not sure it's going to receive even 100 total visitors, I don't bother. Curious what others think about this.
