How many of you here use note taking apps like Notion, Roam or Obsidian to manage & organise written thoughts? Share some tips and useful processes you found, to help each other out!
Or if you're mostly using plain text notes to write things down, why?
Personally, I'm in the last group - for me it takes a lot of time to properly tag and link notes in more extensive tools, without immediate benefit. I want to make better use of all the various ideas and knowledge bits in my head, but haven't found a good process yet.
I love Notion.
Markdown-based writing & the flexibility of blocks are my favorite features.
How do you organise your notes in Notion? What do you mean with the "flexibility of blocks" - that you can embed all kinds of content? I'm using Google Docs mostly, and wondering if I should switch.
I organized my notes according to the topics and the completeness.
Flexibility means that you can easily turn any sentences into a toggle list or a whole new page.
It allows you to extend and dig further into your thoughts, without losing the readability.
I have also tried using Google Doc to maintain my knowledge base. But switching between different pages are not quite smooth as Notion does.
There are a lot articles about Zettelkasten-like workflows (e.g. https://every.to/superorganizers/how-to-build-a-learning-machine-299655, https://ramses.blog/how-take-notes-part-4). Has someone here stuck with a good one?
