Hey all,
I don't have a horribly big support load, maybe 10-15 emails a day, but I have this separate inbox for it, so it's always a bit of a task I am not looking forward to. I get plenty of spam on it as well.
Was wondering if there is an indie-friendly help desk software at all? Something that puts these unordered emails into tickets that I can get to one I have the time?
I'm currently using HelpScout and happy with it, it's pretty simple and cheap.
I totally understand where you are coming from. Manually tracking or converting emails into tickets can be a big task, even if you have just 10-15 emails to manage. I would recommend you try ProProfs Help Desk (https://www.proprofsdesk.com/) that can easily automate this process for you. As your number of inboxes and customer emails grows, the tool can scale to match your needs.
Moreover, automated spam filtering ensures your inbox is always free from unnecessary emails. I hope this helps, good luck!
Not just 10 to 15 emails, this tool can help you manage a large volume of emails in one shared inbox. You can access all your tickets from a single platform, assign them to different individuals, prioritize and bookmark them, and resolve whenever you get time. The tool’s out-of-the-box features make ticket management a breeze.
I’d suggest you go for its free trial version of 15 days before making a decision. It will give you clarity around what to expect from this help desk software.

I've been using HelpScout for a few years now and can highly recommend them. I love their UI/UX. But it's $25/mo if you pay monthly, which quickly adds up once you start adding teammates.
So I began looking for alternatives and stumbled upon this AppSumo deal: https://appsumo.com/helpwise/
Which I just grabbed. Setting up your email takes 5 minutes and their roadmap looks really promising with Facebook page integration, Beacon, etc.: https://helpwise.io/roadmap
Their free plan might be all you need if it's just you replying to emails: https://helpwise.io/pricing
But I can imagine this free plan won't last forever.
As I grabbed the deal just recently, I do not have much experience with HelpWise, but the UI/UX looks great, and it works flawlessly for me so far. They also provide plenty of integrations if that is something you need.
