As doctors or physicians or anyone in the medical sphere who can prescribe medicine to patients, do you use any type of prescription writing software? If not, do you think it is worth it?

I live in a country where the goverment has provided a prescription software for free. It's far from perfect, yet it fits the needs and has a decent integration with other gov systems.
What I would like to see (or even build) is a global API for medications.
