Do you use LinkedIn for marketing and sales?

Hello Indie Hackers!

There are ton of different platforms nowadays to search for customers, I see a lot of Indies are going for Twitter and Reddit which are not really easy to successfully promote your product and acquire new customers subscribers etc...

Very few people talk about LinkedIn, do you have any experience with marketing on LinkedIn and did you manage to make any sales over it?

Please share your thoughts if you have any experience with it.

You're right! Twitter and Reddit are excellent resources for product marketing, but they require significant effort and time investment. Reddit, in particular, has strict rules regarding self-promotion. However, if your post is helpful and goes viral, it can generate a substantial user base because Redditors are discerning in their selection of content. LinkedIn is also a valuable resource, although we haven't achieved satisfactory results from it thus far.
On Reddit we got a great response for our customer retention tool Churnfree, generating significant traffic and sign-ups. Unfortunately, that profile has been suspended. I will suggest try to promote the product in organic way so your profile will not be suspended.

LinkedIn is one of great platforms for marketing. The key to success on LinkedIn is consistently posting high-quality content and actively engaging with people on the platform.

We're testing LinkedIn right now. Would love to share what we learned once we learn something.

I generate quite a few leads using Linkedin and would say it's a very efficient channel for sales. Depending on how personalised you need to be with your outreach you can automate quite a bit of it, at least adding your target audience.

Happy to share my Linkedin cheat sheet, Let me know if that would be useful.

We love Linkedin, I don't do loads of cold outreach or anything but just having a business page, posting blog posts there, slowly growing the audience etc has definitely generated leads and a few sales. It's actually fairly low effort and everyone is actually there to talk about work and business etc, so it's great for B2B SaaS companies.

I've been using Linkedin but it seems like a different beast. Build in public posts don't work over there

But posts, where you show authority in your niche, tend to work well. It could be a personal experience with a customer, observation etc.

Yeah it's not the same hype and crowd like Twitter
