Do you use Master Mind groups?

Hi, Indie Hackers community!

I was glad to find a like-minded person on this platform. With @astro we would like YOUR input on the questions that are stuck in our minds:

  1. Have you ever used any platforms for Masterminds? If yes, what is the best one?
  2. How often do you do the group sessions?
  3. Do you feel that it helps you to answer your questions or doubts, and bring some clarity?
  4. What is the biggest problem for YOU that you experienced? It could be literally anything: from the rude participants to the laggy platform.
  5. How easy for you to find the mastermind group?
  6. What do you value in other people in the Mastermind groups?
  7. And if you have any thoughts about the groups like this, do not hesitate to leave a comment. We don't want to limit you to only our questions.

I would personally appreciate your input!

Run masterminds inside saascamp.co . Use Whereby for calls and share notes using ClickUp.

I run a 300 member builder community at Micro SaaS HQ

We are in the process of starting a Mastermind group/weekly Zoom call to get to know more about each other and share those small wins.

I personally prefer async model though.

I participate in a mastermind group twice a month with my startup accelerator batchmates. I can't recommend it enough!

We use zoom but don't use any extra features.

We have a private slack channel where most async communication happens.

    We follow the structure:

    • How does each one of us feel about the past two weeks?
    • Problems
    • Small wins
    • How can we help each other

1 hour is usually more than enough.

      Hi there!
Thank you for the input! Would you be interested to join or create a mastermind group outside your start-up accelerator?

    1. Face to Face or Zoom both work. A common Google Doc everyone ca n take notes in helps.
    2. Twice a month for two hours.
    3. Yes, there is value in preparing to present your issues, there is value in voicing them aloud , getting feedback and perspectives from peer entrepreneurs is very helpful, and making commitments is also useful.
    4. It seems like you want to sell a technical platform. I don't see technical platform issues.
    5. I value the fact that other entrepreneurs are willing to listen thoughtfully, respond with practical advice and empathy, and provide a variety of perspectives.

      Hi Sean,

Thank you for your comment! But how did you find a group that you joined? Was it easy for you? Would you be interested in joining or creating a mastermind group yourself?

      1. We are trying to learn about the issues around the mastermind groups, their creation, etc. As I find it difficult to find one online if I am not a part of a community already.

Max: are you trying to find a Mastermind group, offer a platform to facilitate Mastermind groups, or offer facilitated Mastermind groups? I cannot understand the problem you are trying to solve: how to find a group or how to market your offering.
