Do you use text-to-speech on you mobile device?
Do you currently or have you ever used accessibility features like text-to-speech on your mobile device? If so, have you ever used it for reading websites back to you? I'm curious how many, if any, have utilized this feature or downloaded an app for it. If you have, how often do you use it and for what?
I don't but I told my (Chinese) mother about it and she uses it every single day, and so does my dad, and so apparently do all their friends. They mainly use them to browse news sites and forums, and they both use the built-in Apple accessibility features.
They found some software on Android for their friends but pretty much they all use it. I feel it's easier in Chinese since you every word is pretty defined in how the should sound (and not as ridiculous as in English)
