Do YouTube videos bring traffic to your website?

I was thinking of making tutorial videos on my web application, and posting them on YouTube.

But before doing all this work, I would like to know if some have already done it and what their results have been, so that I don't do all this for nothing.

I would like to know if you have noticed an increase in traffic on your site, either through video views, or through the improvement of the ranking of your app thanks to the addition of related content (does Google improve the ranking of your site thanks to these videos?).

Probably the best option is to upload these videos on YouTube, and then create a blog post about the video's topic, with an embed of that YT video, to create even more content? I don't know!
