Documentation for SEO

Writing blog posts is relatively new to me. I'm getting better at it but I noticed that writing documentation produces much more content in a smaller amount of time.

So I was wondering:

• Does anyone specifically write docs for SEO or is it the traffic landing there a nice upside?
• Do you have a CTA to signup there?
• How does it perform in terms of traffic and signups vs your blog posts?
