Documentation Platforms and systems?

The problem: Startup needs a documentation portal that provides partners and users with access to technical documentation, screencasts, whitepapers, use cases, case studies, user guides. A one stop location for partners to access all marketing and technical assets. Secured by login.

I have used confluence and wordpress but both have their shortcomings.

Additional "nice to haves", secure document storage for partner agreements, contracts etc.

    You can find affordable services for subtitles online if you'd like to. It's pretty hard to find them for Scandinavian languages such as Danish, Swedish, just like you need, or Norwegian. They're also the most expensive out there since they're tough to learn or understand. However, since all of my favorite Tv shows and movies are Scandinavian, I managed to find websites that make subtitles in English for these languages for a really affordable price. They're a technical translation services agency which I've been telling everyone about for years. One of the best translation companies I've found so far is https://circletranslations.com/content/technical-translation-agency.

    After a few hours research the closest solution I could find was KnowledgeOwl, https://www.knowledgeowl.com/home. I'll post further updates as and when I find other options.

    I'm building a system that creates documentation from source code (http://sourcespy.com), yet I am not aware of more general solution.

      Looks like a great project. This would be a great tool for any developers getting to grips with a new codebase. What have been your most successful use cases?

        Little to brag about at the moment, but making a progress. The biggest would be one of the Apache projects that's nearly complete.

            Competitors - none that focus on onboarding and analysis... and it worries me. Either there is no demand or the task is very difficult. Strange :/

            Of those with any traction I would name https://softagram.com and https://www.gituml.com

              The Gituml pricing is odd, definitely too low. It's also unclear what features you get, some problems that will give potential buyers pause.

              The Softagram site is more impressive in every way. I'm the wrong person to evaluate the product itself though.

              I can definitely see a market for what you're doing. What are the three biggest friction points your service removes if I'm building a team of developers?

                • Easy on-boarding for developers, especially on big projects
                • Reduced effort on documentation maintenance and support
                • Simplified evaluation of product code base (typically architecture survey or acquisition considerations)
