Does 60k search volume for a brand mean 60k people are interested in the overall category?
I'm trying to gauge search demand for the topic of buying a business.
Ahrefs says "buy a business" gets only 4k/mo. Not a ton.
However, "bizbuysell" gets 60k/mo.
Bizbuysell.com is the most popular marketplace of for-sale businesses. There is almost no reason someone would visit the site other than interest in buying a business.
So, my question:
Is it fair to infer search demand for the concept of buying a business from the search volume for this particular website name "bizbuysell"?

Hey Will - I did this exercise previously and my conclusion was "yes." I looked at "buy a business", "business for sale near me" and other terms and I think the monthly search was anywhere from 9k/mo to 60k/mo. So yes, tons of interest.
