Does a platform which sells "exposure" need a special type of processor/processing

I've been talking to a local payments gateway/processor here in Romania and they said they can't do subscriptions for me because I'm not a SaaS.

weremote.eu is a remote jobs platform and makes its revenue from the fees companies pay to be able to post their remote job openings. Am I missing something here? Should I be looking somewhere else?
