Does anyone do angel investing?

A bit of an off topic, but would like to ask if anyone does angel investing and how they think about it.

Some context: I recently start doing a small ticket investing ($1k-$5k) to a few of pre-seed startups. Just starting to learn how it is done and more to make mistakes sooner rather than later.

Curious if and how others are doing it, how do you get into better deals, do have some framework to evaluate startups, etc.

Any thoughts, ideas, tips, recommendations would be super valuable!
