I've come to realize that I have a terrible habit of fixating on certain days of the week before writing up new posts on Reddit, Hackernews, IH, etc.
There are a bunch of tools and blog posts on the web that show data that certain days and time-slots work better for getting views.
This has led me to sometimes procrastinate when it comes to sharing lengthy (but hopefully useful) posts with the community. The most success I've had with Reddit, in terms of driving traffic & conversions for my 2 projects GoWFH.com and TripFate.com, was by posting at ~3PM Eastern on a Wednesday, but I try to always stick to Monday-Thursday before posting anything.
Anyway, I'm trying to break the cycle by posting this on a Saturday 😁but I was wondering if anyone else finds themselves to be in a similar situation and whether this obsession can be justified.
fixation, in and of itself, isn't necessarily bad. i mean, fixating on a target that you're trying to shoot with a 🏹 is important...
... but if it results in poor performance (i.e. procrastination) then... yes, bad.
but not all procrastination is fundamentally bad. you should ask my wife! lol.
