Main Street is worth $500M. They find tax credits for startups, and this link will let you learn more. (I signed up for it yesterday and our business got like $8k of tax credits back.)
Anyway, they got to this mega valuation with a very simple 1-page site that included
They just did a kickass site overhaul. But, it used to look like this--courtesy of the wayback machine.
So, in the spirit of not reinventing the wheel (and helping anyone can get started without very much effort or time), I made a template of Main Street's site so that anyone can make a 1-page site in 1-hour.
On Carrd.
I love using Carrd for simple one-page sites. I can't imagine using anything else.
So, I'm calling the template CarrdThemes if you'd like to check it out.
I just posted it on Product Hunt, too, if you'd like to give it a gander there.
If you need help getting started making it, just lemme know. I'd be happy to lend a hand.
Or, just pick a time from my calendar on the link.
In a way, it reminds me of this.

yup, that's also made by carrd's maker @ajlkn
Wow. I've been shilling this site for years. No wonder.
how do I add the free theme on carrd?

Smart move.
You got my upvote.
Hey thanks @meydjer!
Umm.. https://try.carrd.co/ws8zydy3/ this url didn't work for me. But you probably have it up on https://carrdthemes.com/ Is that it?
Font sizes can probably be tweaked a bit to make it better. Right now it looks a bit odd to me eyes.
Selling templates a cool idea nonetheless. I brought it up right when Carrd allowed transfer of templates, that this will become a thing in coming times. Fast forward few years, and I have seen several examples by now.
How do you handle the transfer once the payment is made? Manually?
Hey Ashish! Yes, it's the exact same link on the CarrdThemes site. (It just worked for me, but sorry you're having a hard time w/ that link.)
I think that you're definitely right that Carrd will soon have some sort of native marketplace. I think it's only a matter of time, and I think it's such a better out-of-the-box solution for first-time makers. Like, Squarespace and WordPress are fine alternatives, but they both have steep learning curves for folks who have never done anything like it.
I've got a tiny group of customers so far (just 8), but yes I've been transferring manually. So, when someone pays and signs up for Carrd, I make a copy of the page and transfer it to their account.
If you happen to need help getting started w/ the template (or just Carrd, in general), I'd be happy to lend a hand.
cool cool, whipping out complete LPs for clients can be another productivized service option, just throwing it out there. Can't help myself imagining possibilities :)
Oh indeed! Currently, I'm in the process of whipping up two today actually. Carrd has provided me a lot of weekend project fun :)
nice! good luck & have fun :)
