I'm working on a pre-launch start-up with some friends focused on music education. We're currently focused on individuals. One of the founders is a music teacher and uses the prototype with his students but on an individual level.
We've discussed getting into ed-tech and making the product attractive to schools and music instructors by adding features like an instructor portal.
Does anyone have first-hand experience in ed-tech that could give me some general guidance on what features schools look for in products? Are there any gotchas? Anything that we should watch out for? Any must-have features? Any insights on what would be typical for a medium-sized school system to pay for an ed-tech product?
Lastly, any ideas on other ways I could go about getting this type of information apart from just ringing up music teachers and local schools?
