Does anyone still do cold calling for B2B sales?

I personally don't pick up the phone anymore if the call was not scheduled before via email.
What do you think? Would you decide/become interested in the new data software over the cold phone call from a consultant?
Or maybe you tried it recently and it worked?

We are a B2B SaaS co and early on tried some cold calls and was met with little success. There are many better ways to get leads than cold calling.

Phone calling can still be potentially effective as a follow-up strategy for inbound leads, but don't expect to spend much time actually engaging in a "sales" conversation on that call. Depending on your business model, it is just one of many touch points.

      Cool, thanks for your feedback!

There are still companies that have dedicated B2B Sales teams (like Yelp), so it works depending on the industry.

Sure, but that is a mature company. I know that the outsourced companies still do cold calling via phone, I was just wondering if anyone has insights on the effectiveness of this in practice.

Cold calling and cold emailing seems to be the core for B2B marketing. Advertising is possibe but it is more for B2C marketing.

Agree, however advertising also works, just has to be targeted differently, and it is more the quality than the volume of the leads.

It's not a fun thing to do but track your numbers and it may just be worth it, even if only 1 in a 100 people bite. From experience, I can say it worked for me but is really strenuous. Trial and error; do a test run, see where it gets you.

Thanks for your insight! Exactly, we're going to do a test run and see how it goes. If there is a potential, it's always good to explore it, even on a small scale.
